GuestBook Card

ok here goes
this idea started of with a piece of wrapping paper
that i found while getting a wrapper for a wedding gift some times ago

with lots of beautiful words and images printed on it
that simply describes a wedding or even a marriage

i bought it
without having a clue on what i should do with it
just a plain idea that somehow, i'll find it useful for my wedding preps

and yeap, I was so right
as I went through, words by words
images by images printed on the paper,
i knew, it could be used as a material for our guestbook
and thus, I begin searching, high and low via google
on ideas on how i should go about it

finally, i came across beautiful and bright blog
the writer, yunayuni, shares some wedding inspirations
which are to me, very practical!
and one of them is this "guestbook cards" she did for her friends wedding

and my oh my, i had the exact same material she used
except that hers is a card papers

this is hers

as i read through, that, seems like fun and interesting
on top of it, its easy, and cheap!!!!

so i started to assemble materials i needed

basically, of course, a piece of wrapping paper
at 1 ringgit per piece

same as the earlier pic right?

cut into small pieces

did this 3 nights in a row
its basically my bedtime story for those 3 nights

220 gm art cards
thick enough so that it wont easily ruined

bought from Mydin at 2.40 for 10 pcs
cut into smaller sizes,

i did mine exactly the size of the atm card.

glue stick (i prefer this than the liquid. it could get messy)

and of course, the stationaries (scissors, cutter, ruler and whatnot)

the outcome :

close up on some of the outcome

i purposely did some with less space to write on
for guest to write on simple messages
and some with more
for those who prefer to write more

hope they would have fun writing on those
as i had fun preparing it!

oh yeah, how to display on the guestbook table?
beautiful and bright do inspires me
i had the same shallow vase bought at Hinode shop
and perhaps, I'll use her idea as a guide!

practical ain't it?

all in all, i spent less than 5 ringgit for this project!
cheap! but of course, a bit tedious.
but i had fun!
and i enjoyed every second of it.
:)
