esok, I'll be off to PD for the holidays
spending time with the extended family
mom's family actually
it's kind of a routine to gather once a year
somewhere nice
with pool/beach and a field
for us to have our "sukaneka"
an event we called "family day"
but eversince Tok Mak passed on,
followed by Tok Teh, Pak Long, Ayah Ngah, Papa,
and the latest, my dear cousin, Yin
things weren't the same anymore
Family Day doesn't really feel like what it used to
watching our recordings on the previous family days
was heart wrenching
especially when it was focused on those who has left us
gosh
I miss them all
I miss those times when I was much younger
and family day was something that I looked forward, each year
cause we really had a blast
tomorrow, after 2 or 3 years not having such event,
we're gonna meetup again
it won't be the same
but still, we should cherish what we have
and not forget those we had
